One graduate continues providing pastoral care as needed in his unit and, as he can

with the men he meets outside. He suggested that a big challenge he is having right now is helping guys face the challenges with the influx of other men from Waupun Correctional. His observations are that there have been many more fights since the folks came from Waupun. These fights are mostly due to race related and some gang related reason. He is trying to “talk men down” so they don’t retaliate. He hopes that things will settle down once the men that have been transferred in get use to their new location. Change is tough for many of these men, even if it means transferring from a maximum security to a medium security prison.
